Caernarfon is a great sit and the wife loves the shops for her touristy nik naks. Never been to Conway yet. Went on the Ffestinog railway two years ago, good but nothing much at the other end. Or if there was it is not well sign posted. This year we are giving Portmerion a miss. We have been twice, we love it but the kids dont.

My lad used to love going to the Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay when he was younger, tram and cable car are OK, Llandudno's worth a little visit as is Conwy. Slate caverns in Ffestinog also well worth a visit and there's a few places with little trains which kids of all ages love...

Maybe the zoo will be the place to go. Is the cable car up and running at Llandudno? I here it was under renorvation during 2005 season. I think I once went to the slate caverns when i was younger and it was great but my sister went recently and was not impressed, it has changed and you cant go through as much of the caverns as you used to. Too much H&S regulation I suppose.
