Where should I go in Wales

Will be staying near Criccieth, two days will be spent on the Black rock sands and one day on Snowdon the watkin path

I have been thinking about a trip to the northern coast, maybe Llandudno for a ride on a cable car or tram. Or is the zoo at Colwyn Bay worth a visit.

Anyone got any tips. I want something to cater for my three year old daughter, castles are one thing as she loves running around these but I will have plenty of these with Harlech and Criccieth.

paul_humphreys:
Barmouth has lots of sand.

Hmm yes but so do the Black Rock sands which are very close to the campsite so beach activities are catered for.

Bishops Finger:
Caernarfon and Conway have big castles

Porthmadog has a steam railway

Portmerion for the Prisoner experience

Centre for alternative technology near Esgairgeilog north of  (Machynlleth)

My lad used to love going to the Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay when he was younger, tram and cable car are OK, Llandudno's worth a little visit as is Conwy. Slate caverns in Ffestinog also well worth a visit and there's a few places with little trains which kids of all ages love...
