HDC modification
« on: July 12, 2006, 14:13:17 »
I have a manual with the HDC on the gearshift.  It occurs to me, seeing as this is now going to be the 3rd soldering job on it that it would be better to have a dash mounted switch for this.  I am wondering where the switch is on an auto, cant be on the gear shifter I would have thought and if it is a seperate switch, would the said switch fit somewhere else in the dash, that is, does it look like any of the other dash switches ?

Thanks

On an auto, the HDC switch is a push button on the centre console just rearwards of the shift lever.

Unfortunately, it's an oval switch! So it would be a pain to use elsewhere. It appears to be one of those switches that clicks once for on and once for off..... i.e. it doesn't actually stay in when switched on. Hope that makes sense!
