best hinding place?
blackbob:
best place would be on top of the fuel tank in a sealed box
or inside the dash or even under the inner wings
not a lot of hollow spaces in a landy
smo:
I'd say the chassis, its the largest single part and the last bit to be removed when its stripped, therefore the most identifyable.
However, if you bury it in the chassis will the reciever work to pick up the tag id?

not sure, as i havnt recieved it yet. but the whole car is a big tin can, so i would assume it would work.

but the front bulk head has a small hollow strip running from each side, just under the front vents.
Range Rover Blues:
Datatags are popular on bikes and caravans. I'd be surprised if you only got one though. Noramlly a bike frame, engine/box casing, each wheel and the seat gieven that those are the most saleable bits once the fairings have gone and that way the bike can be traced even after it's stripped for spares.
Only trouble is they have to know where to look.
