i have purchasded a DATATAG kit for my landy. www.datatag.co.uk
the kit comprises of a anti vandal green triangle, that you bolt on. and a transceiver that is hidden on the trailer/motorbike/landy/whatever. also there are microdots and that kind of thing. (but mines the basic one i think)
where do you people think the transceiver should be hidden?
there is the chassis rail, or the hollow bit on the bulkhead, rearbulkhead, or what about the strengthening rails going over the roof (series roof).

any thoughts?
presumably the most perminant thing on the car.

cheers in advance.

Edge:
Are they waterproof??

I'd be tempted to place it where its gonna be not straight forward to locate in the vehicle...... but whatever you choose.. Don't post it on here

Just realised...... Is it a tracker :?:    I'd best click your link to find out

Sharpshooter:
Can i also say. Attach it to the bit you would most like to get back, in the event of it being stolen and stripped. :)

Evilgoat:
The on on the audi would take me the best part of a day to get back out, certianly took a day to put in there.

Sextons just said that it should b someplace trhats an absolute pig to get at that hey wont look and if it takes you a good few hours to get in there with any kind of knowledge, the'll have to get it out without knowing its there of having any knowledge.

its not a traker as such, the idea is, if its recovered, the police use a hand held scanner at short range, and it will send back an ID code, which is registered to you.
