Rear Crossmember socket?

Isn't the same as the hole in Series Land Rovers, for the rear power take off??

I don't suppose anyone uses their 90 to power a bench saw or generator for welders though.  Do land Rover even make rear power take offs for their new vehicles?

How about a Disco 3 with a mechanical front winch and a rear power take off to run your saw bench.  That would cause a stir in Sainsbury's car park.

Yes, thats the socket - so it is for the electrics, seems rather an odd shape/size for it though.

I think i might put some form of 12v external feed in mine for when we are camping so we can run lights/fridge in the tent from the landy :)

thanks for everyones help.

In that case why not simply fit a 12S socket & it will provide both permanant, & engine running, live feeds

Older Police Range Rovers  had DIN sockets mounted at convenient positions (a bit like better made cigarette lighters
VWP DIn Sockets & Plugs

Alternatively. Why not wire up an Anderson Plug set-up for jump starting & simply have a (fused) lighter guage cable as a main supply into one of the 3-into-1 Cigarette Lighter Adaptors??

No problems, we're here to help

12S is the accessory socket/aux power for caravans isnt it?

Probably the best and easiest way to go about it is to use one of them, i guess the wiring loom should be kitted up for one to be wired straight in....although being a landy it probably isnt!

It is & reasonably waterproof, easy to install as well  & available almost everywhere

Ther ought to be a permanant live (plus a reverse & earth) under the off-side rubber flap/shroud for te lighting connections.

I ran a 35amp cable through from the battery for mine though, when it's finally connected it'll be fused down to about 15-20amp though
