2.5 T/D Snorkels?
« on: July 02, 2006, 19:01:54 »
I am considering getting myself a snokel for my Defender 90 TD but wasnt sure if i really needed to fork out the whole £120 ish that they are. What kind of modifications need to be done under the bonnet? I can easily buy the top air filtery bit and some drainpipe :) and the elbow for under £50 but im not really sure what happens under the bonnet. Any pictures or help would be great. Cheers,
Rob

P.S Any help on changing the size of my avatar picture lol?

Paddocks or Rebel do TD snorkels for reasonable money.  I wouldn't bother for what they cost.

Did my own on my 110. Inderneath its fiddly because of room. But it is easy. Most important thing is sealing every possible water ingress. Bottom of the air filter need to be sealed as well as the drain valve at the bottom of the air intake. If you get a kit they will supply the sealent. The other thing is breather kits. Got mine from Ebay...UKMUDMASTER. took a whole afetrnoon and evening but i am a complete novice. The kits also come with excellent instructions.....Good Luck

Paddocks do one for around £60. Free postage as well on an order that size.

Here.

Nice to see at least 1 other TD hasn't fallen and become a TDi...
