Great overland truck
« on: June 25, 2006, 21:12:14 »
Whilst I was in Senegal I bumped into a German couple who had the most excellent overland truck.

It's a 1967 German Bundespost (Post Office) emergency response vehicle.  The guy has taken the base vehicle, which was in fantastic condition, and kitted it out as a superb overlander.  It has a big 6l diesel engine which thumps away merrily.  It's built as solid as a tank and is nice and simple too.  Would you believe he only payed £3500 for it, with 18,000km on the clock?

He knows of another which is for sale...  Mmmmmmmm, fffffffffff!  If I thought I could get it for £3500 I would have a serious look!
