renewal time

Colin 009:
Just got a call from Endsleigh who quoted on confused, they wanted to see if they could give me a better deal taking more details.

No they couldn't  and just to give you an idea of the stupid execces asked by some insurance they wanted £450 towards any claim.

The poor bloke, I dont think he understood why I was laughing when he told me that.

ChrisW:

--- Quote from: "Colin 009 a.k.a. Wally" ---" insurer unable to quote for your details"   whats that about.
--- End quote ---

Probably something to do with 'claims history' I would think    ... mine has nearly doubled this year due to a couple of momentary lapses of concentration

sounds about right mate, what with me thinking of  starting court proccedings over the service provided.

goblin:
ok , confused .com only turned up 1 quote as disco is not standard only a 50mm lift but that was enough to shy most insurers away. the 1 quote was £450 that was dearer than my renewal quote with elephant at £435.
but went with adrian flux @ £350 fully comp, thanx for all your help

Horness:
Did anyone go with Lancaster insurance through Confused.com in the end?

I'm in the process of searching for quotes, and they're some £70 cheaper, but I noticed cover for Off-Road and Greenlane use is "EXCLUDED".

They're quoting £237.75 Vs. £310 on my renewal.

More digging needed I think.
