Comfy Seat Conversion
« on: July 25, 2004, 12:00:25 »
I want to fit some new seats to my 110, but all the genuine ones are too expensive. What other seats are a good fit, or go straight in. I dont have long legs, so space isnt much of a problem. At the moment i have military squab type seats. Cheers. :D

yuo might not be up to this but  . I would take advantage of all the boyracers in their poketrockets whoo slam in to trees and such .

go in to  your local brakers and you should find an old corsa with bucket seats .
good luck  :)  :)

cheers

Rob

I dont think i have the right build for bucket seats, i think they would have to be barrell seats.

I've got MK3 F**d fiesta seats in mine. It's amazing what you find dumped down the odd green lane!!
Cheers, Karl..

I fitted a hinge to the front of the passenger seat
to allow access to the battery area.. I also had to
fit spacers to the rear of the seat base so the seat
was not tipping back too far..

Quite a bit. Had to remove the rear legs from the seats and then modify the seat box as well. I wouldn't have bothered to be honest but they were free. 8)  That always makes the effort seem worth while.

I have fitted a pair of Disco seats in my 90, fit a treat, the only down side is the passanger seat needs to come out to get to the battery box, but thats only a 10 minute job, 4 13mm bolts. I got them at LRO Show last year 40 quid the pair.
