Acropolis Rally of Greece 2006

The Greek round of the WRC championships has just finished here in Athens.

The rally was held over 4 days, and Emily and I went to see the Shakedown stage on Thursday, with the competetive legs held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The shakedown was really good as we saw each competitor several times as they tested the vehicles prior to the race days. The security was also very relaxed so we were able to walk all the way around the course and into the pit area as well.

The shakedown was set at the base of Mount Parnitha in the same area as the 2004 XC Mountain bike course.

Cool...One day someones really realise how much of an impact on the records Sebastian Loebs making....That said I'd like to see how he'd get on against Colin  Carlos Burnsy and the likes of Juha Kannkonnen ..different cars and times tho :?
