LandRoger:
Karlo, All those subjects can be found by ploughing through the various threads in the BAR and in Greenlaning or in the section on your particular motor, they have all been covered hundreds of times, good luck,

Dirty Gertie:
...My sentiments entirely LandRoger!!- Karlo, no-one hands 'the knowledge' out on a plate; much of it has be earned by experience: there's often no one "definitive version"; sorry, but if you want to learn, there's only one way to do it; trawl through the forums and glean the info that applies to you and your vehicle, then get out there and learn by your (and others) mistakes!
Good luck!!

Recovery points are a must, after those are sorted i would suggest that you ask on here for someone local to you to take you out for a run.  You will be able to use their equipment (if needed) and knowledge and you will soon have made a list of stuff you want to get. Talk is all well and good but there is no substitute for doing and finding out for yourself. And above all it's great fun learning :D

karlo:
Thanks for all the advice , Jon Boy that's a cracking link & very helpfull!8)

Whilst i realise there is no substitute for experience and there have  been other post's on the forum, (there is'nt a forum for my little green korean monster  :(  )

I just thought that perhaps for someone like myself it would be helpfull to have a thread/section where newbie's can gain some basic idea's like towing points, what the best recovery rope/strop to have, breaking strains e.t.c.  and experienced members can share their experience's and knowledge.

so perhaps a new section on the forum?

Just a suggestion!

As my sportage is standard at the mo, i'd prfer not to wreck it first time out so if someone local does'nt mind me tagging along, praps as a passenger next time their out please give me a shout!

my MSN is in my profile.

Everyone has to start somewhere.
 :D

Thanks again for all the info!
