diesel injection cleaner
dminto69:
hi , as anyone ever come up with this problem
yesterday i got some diesel injection cleaner and put abit direct into the diesel filter and the rest into the tank but what ive found now is i have lost alot of power throughout
before i cleaned it it would pick up and go and get me to 90 no problems just now it feels sluggish and get no more than 70 out of it any idea of the problem or away of solving it , another thing i have noticed is my fuel consumption has gone up by quite abit ,im thinking maybe that it as stripped all the old carbon and made everything shiny inside so its having to recoat itself up maybe wrong but would really like some help on this .all the best and thankyou.
just to mention the diesel injection cleaner is not one you can buy in the shop it is for motor trade only ,it is called forte hope this helps :D

Strange one i use diesel additive all the time in mine. But have never put it stright into the filter just add it to the tank when i fill up. Think you may of killed your filter and its pulling all the junk through. Try changing the filter then only add it to the fuel tank

90!!!
Mine very rarely saw more than 60mph.
That's quite fast enough
Mindst you, we were on the M62 this morning, SWMBO was driving her 'works van' & we got passed by a '05' plated 110 Hard-Top.
I'll just say she was progressing at a speed that had the digits 8 & 5 in it :?
So what was the 110 doing?

Just added some of the diesel injector/engine cleaner to Trug, it "does say on the label".....add to a "full" tank of fuel. But maybe you were using a totally different product, someone should be along whose used this Forte stuff.

i use the Wynns stuff, and pour most of it straight into the filter so it givesthe injectors a real blast... did it for nearly 6 years on my old 110 without any probs......
