Do i or Dont i. ??

Sharpshooter:
I phoned up a place today about a job.

The place in question, is a Land Rover garage. Im a mechanic by trade, but have been in the Nuclear Power industry now for 5 years as a Plant Technician. I spoke to the boss, who has invited me for an interview next week. And i dont know what to do.

I currently get near to 9 weeks paid holiday. and earn quite alot. But i dont enjoy my job much. It takes me 10 mins to get to work, and i can have time off at short notice. I am also applying for a Deputy Team Leaders job.

The other job would mean a 40-50 min journey. A smallish pay drop (I think), only 20 days holiday.
I think i would prefer to work there, and they say, all the craftsman are Land Rover trained. They would put me through all the training too.

So. Do i go for the interview or not bother using a days holiday????

I did this type of thing and the grass is not always greener.  Stay with the money and the holidays. that way you get more time with your hobby, more money to spend on your hobby and your hobby stays just that!

mark.yellow.series.3:
at the mo your job is easy(i assume ) money is good and all the rest of it, and landrovers are a enjoyable hobbie/passtime. if you get the new job, A you might not have enough money to enjoy and modify your own landy, and B with working on other peoples landies all day may take the fun out of you hobby/passtime/way of life. and C less holidays means less time out playing with said toy.
ive gone for jobs thinking the grass is greener and its not, having said that, might be the best move you ever make. go with your gut but dont make a rash desion. (probibly doesnt help any)

if you go for it can i have your old job.....then again i'll be about as much use as homer simpson
