speedo reading

<< < (4/5) > >>

CanIBeFrank:
I've got rangie diffs and 31x10.5xR15 on a Series III 2 1/4 Diesel it shows 35mph but I'm told its 65mph by my bro following in his car.

The engine is a bit ropey (smokes like a 1918 tank) and is looking like it's going to have to go :( but seems to pull ok.

ps my gearbox is pant too :)

Rich_P:
Gear Ratios and also the fact that the LT95 is permament 4WD as well as the gearbox and transferbox are in the same casing, unlike the Series gearbox and transferbox which are two seperate units.

mark.yellow.series.3:
that will be because the gearbox is going what it thinks to be normal speed but due to the rangie diffs there turning your wheels faster.
i think mine will be the other way round if anything, with the faster gearbox(i think) but lower ratio diffs.

Having replaced the original asthmatic  two an' a quarter series lump with a V8 your probably gonna stress the old gal' out on tickover
