HELP!
I AM A TOTAL NOVICE WHEN IT COMES TO ENGINE MECHANICS ETC BUT I AM VERY KEEN TO LEARN HOW TO SERVICE MY DEFENDER 90. BEEN LOOKING ON THE WEB AND CANT FIND A BOOK FOR BEGINERS TELLING ME HOW TO SERVICE ONE. HAYNES DONT SEEM TO DO A MANUAL FOR A 300TDI DEFENDER 1997.
ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS OR BOOK NAMES, NOT PRICED AT £70 THOUGH?

The Haynes manual says 'up to 1995'?? (I think, but bar some minor items) it will cover yours.
The date is just the cut-off point when it was written

Official factory manuals are available, but they are probably a bit more in-depth that you require??

1994 models were 300Tdi (post October 93??)
My old 110 was a March 94 registration & a 300Tdi

The manual covers 200 & 300Tdi (plus the earlier, pre-1990, Turbo-Diesel)

Edge:
Drum has a very good helpful site at www.lrtech.co.uk , in there you will find "workshop manuals" for free download and lots of TOP tips on servicing your 300tdi. Its been a great help to myself as i'm also a complete novice.
I'll get you the exact for the manuals link and post it in 5mins.
