One thing I don't think is mentioned...
Oil filter.
That is a PITA job.The only job I really hate doing.
There's allsorts of tricks to try to stop the flood of oil under my Defender when I do this.
Some people cut milk bottles to shape to drain the oil into the drainer.
Yesterday I managed the oil filter change with very little spillage.
One supermarket plastic bag.
Some newspapers inside.
Make a fist size impression in the newspapers.
Loosen the oil filter your favourite way.
Put the bag of newspapers under the oil filter and spin the filter off.
Hopefully the filter should stay in the bag along with most of the oil.
