hrh_dave:
Im currently insured under my mum through NFU Mutual who were the cheepest when phoning round ISTR that it is around £400 for fully comp for a 1999 TD5 Disco. We have been with the NFU for some time now and have never had a problem with them. I got a quote just for me and it was £1100 which I didnt think was bad espcially as Im only 25 and no no-claims discount..

Cheers

Dave

I had a couple of break-ins a while back on my company car (just smashed windows, no other damage), and a claim on the company insurance for parking damage, and even though it didn't affect the No Claims on the insurance policy I've got the Landie on, it sure counts against me on the premiums.  It's bloody annoying.

In retrospect I should have paid for the company car damage myself and the insurance people wouldn't have been any the wiser.  I'm all for honesty but when honesty costs hundreds of pounds a year, it's easy to see why people would shut up about it.
