Remote Servo ...
Tikirocker:
G'day all,
I was given a Remote Servo ( non Land Rover ) today as I'd like to fit it to assist my S2A's 88" brakes as part of the restoration I am currently doing. I'll obviously be fitting new brake lines etc but was wondering whether switching to LWB front brakes would be any further difference than the Remote + standard SWB brakes?
Also - does anyone have pics of their Remote Servo set up in the engine bay ... I'd apreciate a squiz.
Ta, Simon.
Litch:
I fitted LWB fronts and a remote servo to my SWB V8 and the brakes were very effective (too effective for the 9.00x16 bar-grips in wet weather as I could lock them up & skid quite easily).
I made a simple bracket and mounted the servo adjacent to the peddle-box, tucked in under the wing.
Tikirocker:
Thanks mate ... the Servo I have has two brackets already fitted to it so should be a doddle to mount somewhere; I was interested in actually seeing some pics of the plumbing from the Servo itself in relation to the brake cylinder if possible etc.
Litch:
Sorry, no photos available as the vehicle is long gone.

not a usefull question, but you don't happen to know what it was originally off do you ?
