110 ROOF RACK
« on: April 28, 2006, 08:33:00 »
Following the severe bending of me roof rack it is time for a replacement. My question is: I`m looking at a full brownchurch roof rack + ladder similar to the one I busted. Can I fit a roof tent to this. Such as a hannibal. Or do I have to but a very specific roof rack. I dont want to buy and fit a rack and then find nothing fits it! Hope your all well ! Cheers

Rooftents need racks of specific widths and also without sides, fronts or back rails.

Best to check with the manucacturer of the tent before buying a rack as if its the wrong spec then it wont fit properly.

I had a holwling moon tent on my old landy for a while, excellent bit of kit.

Yup i have a Brownchurch heavey duty rack i want rid of, came with the truck and i have never used it so off it came.

It is galvinised but has been painted black at some stage, it comes with the ladder and the four struts that go down to the tub and the windscreen hinges to take some weight of off the gutters, it has an older style four jerry can locker, (removable), have the four cans for the locker, which are no use to me, and it also has rings for two 6kg gas bottles, again no good to me. The gut that built the truck was planning and exped that never happened.. Oh it also has a mounting for a high lift jack with lock acrosse the back at the top. My mate has already pinched the spot lights, and the high lift isnt included.
