blueboar:
No thats not the one, this is

hobbit:
Looks like a bomb disposal vehicle, makes sense to get to some of the awkward ones

blueboar:
Yeh,

Its a RAF Bomb Disposal unit, I think it was 3033 EOD (Explosive Ordanance Disposal) based at RAF Wittering in Cambridgeshire. They also had 2 other cuthbertsons 2 - 109's and a forest Rover in the 80's. I have also seen a series 2a, in EOD colours, but can't seen to find the picture at the moment.

I had a chat with a couple of ex- raf eod, and they said they were good in a straight line and across rough terrain, but a jumbo 747 has a better turning circle than these things.

hobbit:
I imagine they would be used on the bombing ranges, on beaches and marshland, to recover/destroy unexploded ordnance, would make sense

blueboar:
They said they were good in a straight line and long sweeping corners, but the turning circle was hopeless. They also said a jumbo 747 has a better turning circle
