Old Warthog:
Hi Guys,
Nope already bought it, so can't back out now. It's not perfect, but I couldn't see any real chassis problems, crawled underneath and hit bits wiv me 'ammer. Sounded alright, not that soggy sort of thud you get when something's terminally corroded.
Had quite a long drive in it, on the track leading up to the farm and around the fields, so I know that the 4wd is ok. The gearbox sounds noisy to me, but no problems changing up or down. It may be that I'm just used to quieter motors.
I've got to get it MOT'd and taxed, because they both ran out in Feb and the current owner has just been running it round the farm. carrying feed for his sheep. He's just got a Defender (envy, envy).
You'll no doubt be seeing me posting on the Series forum, with plaintive cries of "How do I do this?"
I'll stick some photos up when I get it.
Cheers
Keith
