You really can't beat a good series off-road, mines pretty much standard except 90 wheels and tyres, gas shocks and oiled springs. Check out my photo gallery for pics.
That is pretty awesome articulation you got there mate
(Am I allowed to say that!) :D )
I think shocks, springs and some decent A/T or M/T tyres will be my priorities. Looking on the Series forum it seems that parabolic are the way to go (but I'm open to advice)
Cheers

PS. Went to see a mate in Foston near Grantham this morning and noticed that running south from there is a right of way that eventually ends up near Buckminster. (Route 43 on TOR's NERC Proof Lanes).
A lot of it seems to be on UCRs with the access marked as "other public access"
Has anyone done this? I drove up to a couple of points where it intersects ordinary roads and it looks perfectly ok to drive. I would have looked further, a: I was on my own and b: I was in the Zuke and 'er indoors is still moaning about the mud we got on it in January :(
PPS, I'm going stick this last bit in the Greenlaning forum as well

I had a series 3 as well which I wish I hadent sold but it needed a new rear cross member and I got it patched for the mot but I wouldnt trust being pulled out backwards by it! Hence it went and I got me disco after selling a few other things.
One day I will have the funds for another series 3. I am very jealous. Enjoy the drive of your life!

Is it still making sausages out of the wheels, then?

No, its the little garden we seem to have acquired on the drive

My last landrover came with a free garden. Even a tree growing in the gutter which has now been planted in our own garden. If it had been left any longer you would have needed a strimmer to get to the door......
