If I wanted to put longer shackles om my Series 3 88 does anyone know which ones I should get. :?

Hi,

How much extra lift do you get with the 109 Shackles, as I am torn between replacing the springs for originals with 109 shackles or going the whole way and fitting parabolics.

I put parabolics on and they lifted it about 3 inch,am told the 109 shackles will lift it another inch or so.I'm gona go for this and hope it won't fall over on corners.

4" of lift + 255 85 16 tyres = step ladder to get in

now you are talking, I always wanted to see what the top of a Defender looked like from above

Just remember that when you slide out of it and your jeans catch on something it is wedgey time with your feet still 6 inch from the floor :lol:

ive got 109 shakles on my series 3 with 7.50 tyres , love it  :D

dont wory about handeling mines not affected at all , can out corner loads of normally driven cars , but some friend have told me im a loon on the road he he , series 3 is just my toy , drive a 350bhp evo day to day , thats where my erratic driving skills where learnt  :D  :D

I've got military shackles on my SWB. Dunno if these are the same as the 109 shackles referred to above...

They add about an inch, but only at one end of the spring (rear of the spring), meaning that LR sits about an inch lower than my 90 (both on the same wheels, 90's standard suspension).
