Plasma Cutters
RedDisco:
Anyone got one?
I was thinking of buying one are they pretty straight forward to use, I've been doing quiet a bit of fabricating and the angle grinder's a bit too rough.
I was thinking about one with built in compressor, any disadvantage in these?
Thank's in advance for any advice :D

hello mate,
i've used these at work and to be honset they're the dogs danglies!! very easy to use and a do a very good job, makes the electric file look like something out of the stoneage if i could make use of one on a regular occasion i'd buy one myself the one i used had to be connected up to a compressor

I'd agree with that, I don't know the cost for domestic use but I do know that they do an autstanding job very with no skil.

my dad bought 1 2nd hand from the local snapon dealer & its the biz, great for removing panels or cutting sheet that needs to be handled straight away,

i repair them for a living, the industrial ones we have are expensive to maintain ( you can do a lot of damage if consumables are not replaced often) new torch head £400 :(
where are you if youve only got a bit to cut, pop on down to my place and ill cut it for you :D
