was out doing some lanes today and stopped in Alston and saw this at the station.
Sign claims there the higest narrow gage railway in britan.
Is this true

The highest narrow gauge railway in England and Wales is the one that goes up to the top of Snowdon which just happens to be the highest peak in England and Wales. :wink:

I have no idea of what's up in Scotland.

I've only ever been up Snowdon once.
Thankfully it was an absolutely clear day.
The view was as expected wonderful, but I'm not overly familiar with that part of Wales-land & didn't know what to look for
