guns and shooting
woody:
we were watching 'the games' last night as the archery was on i asked the wife if she had ever tried archery
no,she said. but ive always wanted to have a go at shooting a gun!!!!
so were would i find out about shooting, probably targets as a shot gun would be to much for her
i know absolutly nothing about guns but a half day or a few hours shooting would be a nice suprise
Cherry Bomb:
Try a local gun club. i think they usually can sort things like that out.
SWMBO used to shoot hand guns. She had quite a collection of 44's and 7mm's before the govenment took them off her! (and everyone else)
She's not even 5 foot tall............I tell you, It's a scary thought!
strapping young lad:
my missus used to do archery and had her own boss (target)
she was very good at it.. too good cos she would aim at me when i was annoying her
it would often land waaay too close for my liking
not funny
TimM:
You could probably find a 'buy yourself an activity' seller that would have shooting, lots of places offer that and say flying, 4x4ing, parachuting etc
But the gun club idea is the best, it would probably take a little more arranging, but save a fortune
Tyke:
Get down the fairground and have a crack at the targets with a 'bent barreled' .177 pellet gun. Cheap enough for a mess about.
If your serious about it though, gun clubs are the only sensible way into the sport in what has become a bit of a 'suspicious' pastime.
Alternatively get up the local clay shoot and let her have a pop with a good 12 Bore , 3" chambers and full choke . . . . . . PULLLL!!! . . . . . that should put her off shooting for a while . . . . or maybe not
