just wondering whether anyone has tried to intercool the turbo diesel 19J  engine??
just one of those mind drift scenarios... just thought that if it works, may well be worth doing when i drop the lump into the S3..

its there any flexible hose between the turbo and the inlet manifold? if there is, you should be able to plumb an intercooler in, whether youd get any advantage out of it i dont know.

i'm not familiar with these engines, so i dont know if it will be strong enough to cope with any more turbo boost

i have heard of people intercooling these - some say its better cos it makes the engine run cooler.

the fitting of the intercooler shouldnt affect the boost

so when the fuel is upped to match the cooler (more) air this may introduce more strain on the engine - the 19j isnt the strongest so I dont know how it would last.
