Hi Axle. First off it's a term that loosely applies, as the 'normal' car traders would call it that.
I had a 7-seater 90CSW-V8 (1988 model) a nice motor with a LPGconversion, but with b*g*er all space in the rear due to the tank.

It was quick, quiet, (fairly)refined, scared the sh*t out of B*W drivers :evil:  & also out of the boy racers (tee-hee!)
Just a bit thirsty, if it was human it would have been Father Jack Hackett (from Father Ted)
"Drink!, Drink!, Drink!!!"

Rather nimble in town & excellent off-road, but it's big brother the 110 (12seater) is a better all-rounder
I want one!

Good luck if you decide to go for it.

There's a question you might not want answering... :)

There's a list of faults as long as your arm, like there is with any vehicle.

Particular hotspots are the chassis and bulkhead, as these can rust and a seriously expensive / troublesome to replace.

don't be afraid to poke at the aforementioned for holes with a scredriver.

asside from those it's pretty much the usual check of the engine works, gearbox doesn't seem to want to explode etc.

The doors (all three of them) are prone to rusting on the bottoms, so you might want to have a bit of a nosey at them too...

My guess would be that it's a 110 Station Wagon, but why not ring up and ask?

Things to look for?
Chassis
Chassis
Bulkhead
V8s like to have regular oil changes so evidence of this would be good
Chassis
and Bulkhead

The lengths are (roughly)
90 = 153inches, 92.9inch wheelbase

110 = 188inches, 110inch wheelbase

Engine prices? from £100 (for a runner) up to £2,000+ for a rebuilt example.

MPG? I got an average of 15mpg on LPG, but it would dip into single figures with the caravan, off-road, or on the motorway when 'Making Progress'

On a really hilly tow with the van in the Lake District I've seen 7mpg (for comparison the Discovery averaged 38mpg with a 1500kg twin-axle on to Berwick-upon-Tweed last year)

Sorry that was a 'typo'. for 38mpg, read 28mpg as it was a very steady run up there, only held up by traffic near the Metro Centre (Newcastle)

38mpg! I wish......
Average day-to-day is circa 26-28mpg
