i recieved my bumper today from paidia4x4, so i slotted it on after work, then bolted the winch to it, and then trimmed the grill, just the electrics to srt and the plasma to go on, sorted

and for £465 for both, delivered i believe the best value you can get

looks good, nice bumper,
mikey a disco is a bit heavier than a defender, a 8000lb is ample for a defender single line, but for a laden disco ur pushing 2.5t and its a bit much for a 8000lb winch, a double pull just takes the strain away

I'm running a GEW 10000 on the front of my Disco (same winch as the Champion just different stickers   ) and that seems to cope OK.

Looking good though and a great price for the pair.  :D

well, ive just finnished wiring up the solenoid unit, i located it just by the brake servo, so i had to run extension cables to the winch from there, i bought some commercial jump leads and cut them to length and terminated them with eye rings, the winch runs really nice and smooth, and a lot quiter than my old superwinch X6

then i removed the heavy steal rope and spooled on the plasma rope i had on my last winch, and very nice it looks too

well chuffed
