'MAN' cooking *NOW 1 POT LANDROVER COOKERY RECIPES*
« on: March 16, 2006, 12:32:20 »
just wondered if any other guys do this?
raid the cupboard to see whats in there that hasnt grown legs, then throw it all in a pot / dish and see how it turns out..
just done exactly that, 2 pounds of sausages, 2 tins beans a few spuds peeled and sliced placed them all in a dish then cover with a jar of 'potato' bake sauce.. which just so happens to be garlic and herb.. smells - interesting, will let you all know what i tasted like tomorrow - providing the local hospital has got internet access ;)

I cook all the time, I don't see why cooking is gender orientated. Although my wife is a better cook overall than me.

I used to make "pot luck". tin of mince, tin of peas, tin of baked beans and tin of new potatoes. Enough for 4 and dead cheap. You can add herbs etc to taste. A little bit of curry powder is nice but not too much !
We often do a pt meal when we do the monthly shop. Usually when we find the shopping wont fit in the cupboard !
The bacon bits from lidl works well . Nice in an omelete  :o

Try this

chopped onion fry it up
Add tin chopped tomatoes and tin corned beef
Dried thyme

Curry powder and as much Encona hot pepper sauce as you can manage

Simmer for 30 minutes and after 20 minutes cook some rice and frozen green beans

Floyd levels of wine whilst cooking

To take it further, there was an article in LRO last year where someone was cooking USING his Landy engine whilst driving cross country.

I think it was hampster he was cooking, there was a recipe and full instructions

Now your talking my language!

Bacon buttie for lunch on a laning trip  :D

Have you done it, can you give us any idea of cooking time?

Wrap it up, drop it on the engine in the morning before heading out, drive there, lane for a bit, unwrap, throw into cob/sandwich/roll/buttie/bread or whatever you want to call it - would it be underdone, burnt or just right  :?
