Jonno:
Got an insurance quote for my Niva from a company called K.G.M £183.52 fully comp and they cover all green laning activities and whatever mods you want to throw at the vehicle (with the exception of Nitrous injection)
Jonno..

winchman:
Mot isnt the problem, Plod will do you under construction and use regs

Guardian.:
tyres cannot stick out of the bodyline at all. old bill will pick you up on this straight away, and i think the mot man should!, this also depends if you are sticking out half inch it might not be a problem, but if they poke out 1 or 2 inches you aint gonna get away with it.

Range Rover Blues:
C&U regs, that's the one.  Also if it catches the body work at all, even if there are significant signs it does then it will fail.  Allof you with big tyres on your Disco etc take note.

V8MoneyPit:
That's quite right. There is nothing in the MOT manual that requires a fail for tyres extending beyond the bodywork. But you will get pulled over for it.

I had to drive the Suzuki back yesterday with the rear arch missing after crunching it, so the tyre was about 3" outside. I'm going up the workshop tonight to weld in some tags and get the plastic arch back on pronto.

Please note: Suzuki bodywork vs. flint/mud bank = Flint/Mud bank 1, Suzuki nil
