Seriously thinking about it as a parts donor for Rabbit or a mate that might like it.

Rebuit two 1.6 Viatar engines already, seems liek it was allowed to run out of oil and now makes odd noises.

As for the talk, fairly normal in these forums  :D
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

at the last drumclog weekender there was a couple that had picked up a vit for £1 & fitted it with diamonds,it went everywhere specially when yor not bothered about panel damage

Bargain. Get a lump for £200 or so and job done. reckon you could get decent tyres on those rims and a nice lift kit .

Was well impressed what i got Rabbit into (and out of) Last Playday. They really arent bad little motors.

The tapping noise its making probobly isnt all that bad, these things have the good old manual tappet adjustments so the lump may not be all that pooched. Was debating getting it as a parts donor but no-where to keep it.
