On Monday I have had an offer accepted on a house :D

It is in a small village on the A361 just north of Banbury. Its a show house inside ie brand new carpets, laminate posh floor (the expensive wide stuff) 2 bed both double bedrooms with built in wardrobes, tiny kitchen but hey, south facing lounge and garden, space for my 2 cars and enough space in the garden to make a fence pannel a gate and put my caravan in there, lovely little close, end of terrace, owners I am buying of is moving 2 houses down because they want a garage and dont want to move out the close because they love it so much, and I am 15 mins away from a really good Landy mechanic in Banbury! What more can I ask for? Photos to come soon.

Erm.... I could be wrong but you might want to check about putting up fences etc. I know sometimes when they are built as open plan they can put it in the deeds that any fencing or things like that can need planning permission. Also when we bought our old house in 1990 it was in the contract that we were not allowed to keep a caravan on the property but like I said I am not 100% sure about these things just thought a warning might be good.
Feel free to correct me anyone in the know!!!

Yes, original build planning consent can have restrictions applied that live with the property forever. But I would hope the solicitor will have pointed this out if you advised you wanted to keep a van there.

But, congratulations MuddyJames! Now you will have no money left after paying the mortgage to play 4x4's though

Well I have done a little bit of research by driving around the estate and there are quiet a few people with caravans on their drive and mine will be in the garden so less obviouse hopefully. Wouldnt feel happy with it on a drive with light fingers n all.

As regards to the fence I didnt explain my self properly. The fence is already there I just want to put a hinge on 1 side and a little caster the other end so it makes it into a gate if you get my drift?

The owners said originaly between the houses there was a tiny 1 ft fence but they have now put up a 6ft high fence. I am sure a survey would spot that wouldnt it if it wasnt allowed?
