Replacing kids seats in the boot
« on: May 19, 2004, 18:48:45 »
I want to take the fold up seats out of the boot as i never use them and replace them with the panels that are standard fit to 5 seat models to give me more storage space.

Has anyone done this and do the panels screw straight into place without mods?

Cheers chaps and chapesses

I keep meaning to do this as well, but there's a lot of trim to change I understand.

There is a lot of trim to be changed if you want to do it with genuine parts.

I believe someone out there (Simmonites?) is selling aftermarket 'bins' to do exactly what you want to do. I'm sorry, but I can't recall where I heard that or who it was who was selling them. If you do suss it out, it'd be kind of you to let us know!

Sounds like a lot of work and dosh!  I was hoping that i could take the seats out and just screw in the flat panel......but maybe not!

I'll have a look around in the shows to see if theres an easier way to do it than with genuine parts.

Thanks guys  :D

Hi,
I was at Simonites recently and they said they didn't do the panels, did you find out who did as I'd like some as well.

Thanks  :)
