Gearbox?
« on: March 09, 2006, 09:47:48 »
Rbbit has started popping out of gear. Aparently this happends when breaking or slowijng down, any suggestions?

Is this really going to be a gearbox overhaul ?

Starting to think this car wasnt such a good buy :(

No lift at all.

Might have that off you if I find theres really a problem and its not something daft. 5 speed off of a 1.6 yes?

Over 90K so possibly. Oddly enough no sign of this at all when she was offroad a few weeks back.

I'll see what she is like tonight and if needs must I'll have that box off you Suzota.

And if the box/engine is comming out I might treat her to some top-end TLC and cambelt.

If I had the space/time I'd consider a full overhaul and get her back to 0 miles.

Looks like it may have been something simple. Like not being put fully in gear in the first place because the mat had rucked up behind the pedal.

Will look a little more closely this weekend as the Snorke and some pads are going on, POSSIBLY I migth attempt the rust repair round the windscreen,
