In that case I'm surprised, all the ones I've seen, have been tight to fit, and needed taping on with a hammer, before tightening the 2 bolts at the top.

Reason I asked how lose it was, the is a gap at the top, that closes up as you tighten the bolts. If there enough gap to tighten further and close up enough to make it grip the diff pan?? If so I'd start with a couple of washers either side of the clamp, see if that tightens it up enough.

there is no reason why they should not fit, mine were from paddoks and they too had too be tapped on with a rubber malet, the diff pans on rrc, disco and defenders are all the same size so it should fit, try it up against another pan on a friends land rover or if you have another 1  :roll:  the only reason that it wouldnt fit would be if it has had an aftermarket replacement pan which wouldnt be identical to the origional dimensions, my friend had this problem with his 90, turned out that it had to have the pan changed for a mot before he brought it, and that was the reason why it wouldnt fit
even with new bolts it wouldnt clamp up enough, so i ground some of the mating faces off where the bolts go and  3 grinding disks later if fits lol

mmmm maybe its had its pans changed I tried it on the front and back diff pan both were the same and the gaurd was too big.

you must have a friend hu has got a land rover.....doesnt matter if it is a disco rrc or a 90 as they are all the same size pans apart from the realy old rr wiv imperial diffs ( easy way to know that is there is no filler on the pan, or one shock is forward and one is rear facing )

if it fits then its your landy if it dont then throw it at paddock's , but i cant see it being paddock's as they are very good...in fact most of my land rover was built using paddock parts
