power steering box leaking
oakeedokee:
Thanks folks. Started to take box off and found lower UJ siezed which isn't helping matters. I say it's the lower UJ but looking through the manuals I think my steering shaft was fitted upside down - on mine the rubber bit is at the lower end of the shaft, whereas in the manual it suggests it should be at the top. Any ideas on this one?
Wolfie_:
Yeah its upside down, on both of mine the rubber bit is at the top
oakeedokee:
Thanks wolfie. Managed to insieze UJ by hitting it back and forth with a lump hammer for twenty minutes  and all seems fine now albeit the steering box is still relieving itself all over the drop arm. A job for another day!
