Our Weekend in a jag
« on: February 26, 2006, 22:23:22 »
As my missus works for jaguar , she thought it rude not to borrow a new XK convertible test car for the weekend - what a car!
We had it up in the lakes all weekend (tis where the missus is from) , so we used it as an excuse to show off to her family!

Tech bit:
4.2l V8 370hp - normally aspirated
Power hood
Adaptive cruise control
Adaptive suspension
Amazing sat nav
intelligent headlamps (turn with the wheel)
and a massive amount of other bits - shame about the interior (looks to me like it could be an interior for the yanks!)

What do you chaps think of the car?

Blimey

I got a bit 'put-out' when one company quoted me F/C cover for about £550, when I was considering a Griffith instead of the Discovery, after playing with them at Bruntingthorpe.
But £7300!!!

Daz, I think I'd prefer either the FHC, got to be the supercharged XKR though (if only for the 'whine') or it's Newport Pagnall cousin
