Cheers Chris you ok??
I have been over today and manged despite the Rain to Wire Brush the Wings and Seal them again..
I also went for it with the Bulk Head Rail..I decided to Rake it all out and it has a nice hole below the Front Vent Flaps channled out to take a 5 Mil new rail when i find the metal from a scrappy..
I have found a guy who deals in metals etc and now i get all my welding plate etc from him whole 2 and 3 mil Panels that have come out of places like factorys ect and at about £3.00 per 6x6 foot panel ya cannot grump!!
i will need about 5 mil to do this or 4 not sure yet
any way i have measured up for the Rail and it is a a process of undoing the retainer Bolts along the rail inside the cab only 4 of them getting the correct gauge metal slide through the inner cab after pre drilling four holds to hold the bolts inside the cab and then weld to outer Bulkhead and then another fabricated peice of metal over the other and weld in place and that will be it!!
I say it with ease but it will be a fiddly job i have had to remove the vent flaps and rubbers to get acccess to the Bulkhead properley indside Engine bay so i can get the Angle Grinder in to clean up the surface to weld.
I will let you know how it goes

today cut away the Rear Crossmember today what a Pants job to do awkward to cut away..loads of Trimming to do now to put the new one on at end of month as the pennys dont run it it at the mo..
Still it will be nicely prepped ready to weld in place..
Started to sand back the Lower Rear Tub and bonnet and rear lower tailgate section...thank god thats all i have to sand on it layers of crud paint wise..I have been saved doing the upper sides and Hard top as i am getting a 88" at the end of the month and i am going to probally swap over the nice canvass it has on it for the Lightweight Hard Top and sand the Hard top down at a later stage..
It dont help havng the Lightweight under a car canopy that is open both ends ..like a wind Tunnel..
