puddled:
oka,, now I am confused.  :?

Just been to put a relay in from the fusebox input line to the headlights from the switch, and noticed that there appears to be a fitted relay already installed in the drivers kick panel.

Looks to have been factory fitted, as it is all wired into the loom, with correct mounts and relay.

But according to  workshop manuals this was not an option of the vehicle, and it was wired direct from the switch via the fuse box to the headlights.

Any ideas  :?:

strapping young lad:
buy a new pair of headlamps

mine got a bit mingign from mud so i bought a new pair

what a difference that made!

oh and wipac spots made a big difference too

hobbit:
I fitted the relays on the inside of the engine compartments on either side, then used the original (speaker wire :? ) feeds to the dip and the beam as switching wires from the system, and tapped new feeds though fuses to the relays, out to the headlight plugs, with new plugs and spades

puddled:
Looking at some of the wiring under the dash and behind the kick panel, it looks like someone has just hacked away at it, and then taped it all together afterwards with duct tape.

Think I will manage for now, and look at rewiring it when it is a little warmer, want to make a few changes like lights on alarm and stuff anyway, so will be perfect excuse
