No not really its just got a bar that comes up the side of the tunnel but lots of room still. My wife fits   no problem.  It bolts to the bottom of the seat so can be taken out easy.

Get your self an old bed table for the metal and all the adjustable bits. I can take it out and take some pic of it for you to copy if you like. With one of them table its easy.

Kev
This might be of interest as another route to follow.

I use my laptop with memory map for all our greenlane runs.  At the moment the laptop sits on the passenger seat or on their lap.

I am planning to get one of these in the near future:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-TFT-LCD-TOUCH-SCREEN-XGA-VGA-MONITOR-For-Laptop-GPS_W0QQitemZ5860621040QQcategoryZ67772QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and mount it either on the dash top or on the roof console.  Then the laptop will go under the seat (in a padded cradle/drawer).  Because it's touch screen I wont need to access the mouse pad and by using microsoft screen keyboard (which apparently is built into XP) I wont need to access the keyboard either.

When I set off I will simply switch the pc on and plug it into a 12v supply and usb which I will leave 'plumbed-in' under the passenger seat.

RAM make a good laptop mount, it uses a ball and socket system which means it can be moved around to accomodate passengers etc, and a big tray that adapts to any laptop size, the whole thing is about 50 quid and works really well

http://www.ram-mount-uk.com

click on picture gallery, select car mount then there are two sets of disco pics in there as well as another '4x4'

I've done one in a RRC but when I got the Disco it wouldn't fit due to the electric seat motors. Otherwise the seats are the same so would have gone in.

Here it is in the Rangie anyway. I sold it for £10 a couple of months back.

http://www.lrproject.com/rangie1/laptop/

Used scrap bar, a seat knob, speaker mounts choped and weled and velcro to secure the laptop. Never fell off and took some pulling off.

It had a bar same as the vertical support which run under the seat. This had a plate at the front with a hole in it which the front seat bolt went through and sandwiched it between the seat and the seat mount / floor. The rear of the tube had a bracket welded in place at the rear of the front seat so that it bolted to the floorpan/seatmount at the back of the rear seat, this would be just in front of the rear passengers feet if you see what I mean.

Only required one hole drilling for the rearmost bolt.

A dammed fine bit of British bodging if I do say so my self
