i have a N reg 300 tdi disco with flickering lights , it is an alternator problem probably voltage regulator ?? is it a seperate regulator ? or have i lost the plot  :shock: any suggestions would be appreciated.  :)
if it aint broke, then it just needs to be fiddled with !!

I'd put money on the reg being in the back of the alternator but you should still be able to replace it with a new one without needing a complete alternator.

Sounds like the voltage regulator to me, a Volvo I used to own did the same, you'll need to fit a new regulator sooner than later 'cos you'll go through bulbs like theres no tomorrow & boil the battery dry too.
