Series 3 rear prop-shaft UJ size?
« on: January 23, 2006, 20:37:40 »
Hi.

I need to order a couple of replacement UJs for my rear prop-shaft.

I *think* a 1979 is the later larger size UJs, but not sure (and can't measure at the moment).

Anyone know which before I order the wrong size  :?

Cheers,

Scott

Answering my own questions again  8)

It's the larger 3 and 3/16 size.

For the extra cost it would probably be worth replacing the entire shaft.  I replaced front UJ's just to have the slider sieze 12 months later and take out the splines.

A 1979 is probably going to be fun as some parts were fitted and tested for defenders about then (found that out on Inked ravens 88") and were not in the S3 parts manual.
