Same here........but put a 1amp fuse inline from the light.

you'll have to run a cable down to the fuse box (a pair) or directly to the battery for a suitable feed. you should fit an inline fuse (if not already part of the cb).

You cant use the interia light feed as the earth is in door switch/elsewhere.

Any idear where I can find a good perminant live feed in the fuse box (was thinking off back of the horn)
I've run the line down the inside of the door post trim and into the side of the fuse box through the dash

As for the scotch blocks I'm not allowed to use them as a friend who does electrics for me on anything major goes pete tong is an electrican and he thinks they are the creation of the devil  :lol:

:oops:  i tried the interior light fed idea but all that did was make the cb smoke  :shock:  was less than a hour old luckly it didnt do any damage... dunnno wat i did wrong but i eint doing it again

Interior light feed, take your light off and look for the purple and white double wires going into the light, scotch lock on to them, theres even an earth wire there too but make sure its the earth for the switch and not the ones for the door switches otherwise your rig will only work if the doors are open ! :lol:

only problem is I dont have a internal switch on the light.
so should (in therory) make it easier as theres one less wire
