200 or 300??

Just been and picked up a 3 door disco tonight my little bro is going to get into landies at last :D  :D any way motor is sound runs great and we are going to turn it into a off road beast but originally we thought it was a 200tdi but now we are not sure and think it could be a 300! How can you tell?? i know on the defender you can tell by the side the air intake is on but that is not the case on the disco! so how can we tell??

The 300 has bigger frot headlamps and better interior.  Usually a 300tdi has a plastic cover on the engine.  I think 200tdi is up to L reg and 300 is late L onwards to T reg.

One of the easiest ways is by the colour of the oil dipstck yellow on a 300 and green on a 200 also difference in air filter circular on 200 ( like a barrel) and square on 300

ooops forgot to mention it is an L reg first registered april 1994, it does have black rubber cover over the rocker cover and turbo the same as on my 300 tdi defender
