STRAW CLUTCHING AND BARREL SCRAPING
« on: January 16, 2006, 20:25:52 »
My EFI 3.5 is still poo......very poo indeed

We have spark on all 8 cylinders, and as far as I can tell we have fuel (the limit of my deep technical diagnosis being that the fuel lines frost at all injectors as the vapour does it's stuff!)

Yet I haven't got 2 & 8 firing properly yet (know this because pulling 2 & 8 leads makes no difference to the sound of the engine, but the other 6 do!)

Anyone know what happens if you turn the airflow meter upside down whilst messing...could it cock it up? would it do what it's doing?

Back on about 5 & a bit cylinders now and bad knocking sounds coming from down below, none of which it did before I did the valley gasket...

Starts well though, so timing should be just about back where it was before I cocked that up......

Off for psychiatric help shortly.........

Would be much appreciated H...haven't had the leads off so it shouldn't be that, but driving it last night and it smelt not right at all....

Problem is I have no shelter (but can do lights!)

Other problem is total ignorance of fuel injection......

I should be home about 6 ish any night so whenever suits you with your kind offer (let me know and I'll get the kettle on!) Even tonight if you wish...

Seeya soon
