HI all,

on christmas day my alternator said gooodbye,

fitted replacement last week and that said goodbye the next day.

i have now fitted the thrid one and when i turn on the ignition no batt light,when i start it up batt light comes on and rev counter sits at 0 until i rev the engine then it moves.

the car is a 92 vogue se

any ideas would be helpful?

sound like diode pack or some how you have manged to short one of the wires out of the att to ground and that is pulling the att down when you start up which will kill it big time

have pulled the altenator off and will return to shop for another one
