Lockers

landyman Ash:
Ive been researching/asking/picking guys brains about Lockers for a long time

You need to think about what your using ir for.  Most comp safari guys use LSD (limited slip) BUT I have a feeling your looking for offroad playing.

Persnally I'd go ARB rear.  If your playing or doing winch comps etc you can always see the terrain and then you choose to selct it and then its a 100% lock and you KNOW its in.

For the front an ARB works great but you'll suffer from steering loss and you'll put excess stress on the CV's.  Put an LSD and you get 95% lock but there is always a little slack.  You get better steering and its not such a worry breaking a rear shaft compared to breaking a front.

As your just looking fro one, go ARB.  No risk of it locking in on the road and you choose when its in PLUS is 100% lock.  Best for the rear by far!!

landyman Ash:
Sorry, also forgot downside of ARB....

Price for one, you need compressor etc which isnt so bad, you can at least pump your tyres up!!

Also it relies in air so there are pipes.  These can snag, pop off, get blocked etc.  Look after it and you should be fine but worth bearing in mind

Hope that helps

Thanks for the repies fellas.
top advice, Mud clubbers come up trumps again :D

Looks like an Arb air locker would be my best option.

Anyone know of a cheaper price than the £650 + £15 thats on ebay at the moment (includes compressor, lines, etc)?

cheers

Jeff

Speak to Si at X-Eng, tell him aboute-bay price and see if he can match or come close. If he get's close I'd rather buy from someone you know is going to help you out support wise etc when spending this much.
