Help.
Seem to have an electrics problem with my 1990 Rangie (3.9 EFI):
Got a phone call from other half who is using it at the moment - 'I've turned the ignition off and a little red light has come on.' :?:
That was on Friday. Car drives fine, but when the ignition is switched off, the alternator warning light comes on. Nothing electrical turned on or plugged in. Car has been left since then.
Get's a call tonight - "It's dead!"
Battery now appears to be completely dead. :(
ISTR this may be a possible fault with the alternator diode pack, but can't seem to find any info . . . . . anyone else seen a problem like this before? :?:
Cheers,
Scott (now taking the bus to work tomorrow)
